Oil Minister Hayan Abdul Ghani inaugurated today, Thursday, the Zubair 2 warehouse after adding new turbine pumps.
The media office of the Ministry of Oil stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil Hayan Abdul-Ghani inaugurated the Zubair 2 warehouse in Basra Governorate, after adding new turbine pumps with a capacity of 2 million and 300 thousand barrels per day."
The Minister of Oil said, according to the statement, that "the ministry is pumping crude oil from the Zubair 1 and Zubair 2 depots, and after rehabilitating the latter by adding new turbine pumps with a capacity of 1.15 million barrels for each one, it will help increase the pumping process from the depot to the export ports by adding a capacity of more than 300 thousand barrels per day."
He pointed out that "the project aims to achieve high fluidity in the process of pumping crude oil from the oil fields to the warehouses and pumping stations, then to the Faw warehouse, then to the Basra oil port and the single buoys, in addition to the ministry working on developing maintenance projects and increasing export capacities."
