BOC: The will of the Iraqis triumphed with the fatwa of Al-jihad

Commander of Baghdad Operations, Lieutenant General Walid Khalifa Al-Tamimi, confirmed today, Thursday, that the will of the Iraqis triumphed with the fatwa of sufficient jihad issued by the Supreme Authority, Sayyed Ali Al-Sistani, and achieved victory.

Al-Tamimi said to the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “We remember with great pride the issuance of the fatwa on sufficient jihad issued by the supreme authority, His Eminence Ali al-Sistani. This fatwa preserved Iraq and restored its prestige in the face of ISIS terrorist gangs, as this fatwa was a support for our security forces.” And the Popular Mobilization Forces actively participated in the fighting in all the liberation areas.”

He added, "The fatwa had a moral and psychological impact on all Iraqis and all the components that stood together in those battles, through which the will of the Iraqis was victorious to liberate all the usurped areas from the clutches of the terrorist ISIS."

He continued, "I was deputy commander of the Ninth Armored Division and the division had an effective role in the liberation battles. We participated in the fighting in a position of responsibility with the Popular Mobilization Forces sectors, the Imam Ali Division and the Abbas Division, and they had tours and tours in achieving victory."
