The Joint Operations Command declared today, Thursday, that the pilgrims' plan to visit Makkah Al-Mukarramah has been fully implemented. Meanwhile, an integrated plan has been prepared to execute the second phase of the plan upon the pilgrims' return and completion of the Hajj.
In a statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the Command declared that "our security units have completed the implementation of the plan for the pilgrims to Makkah Al-Mukarramah based on the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and with continuous field follow-up." It further stated that "these units have spread along roads and desert areas for hundreds of kilometers since the ground voyage operation began on May 18, 2024."
In addition, the Command stated that "the air voyage operation ended on Wednesday through continuous coordination with the Airports Administration and the Civil Aviation Authority," and that "20,855 pilgrims were secured by land, and the land voyage process ended on June 2."
The Command reported that "18,736 pilgrims have been dispatched through airports, bringing the total number of pilgrims by air and land to 39,591 pilgrims." Our security forces have worked extra hard to provide facilities and services, providing them in a way that has never been done before in coordination with the Hajj and Umrah Authority.
It affirmed that "after returning and finishing the Hajj, it prepared an integrated plan to implement the second phase."
