MOHESR: Over 3000 international students enrolled in Iraqi universities

    The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research - MOHESR, Naeem Al-Aboudi, announced the acceptance of more than three thousand international students in Iraqi universities, on Monday.


    "International students studying at Anbar University honored Minister Al-Aboudi in appreciation of his efforts in launching the Study in Iraq program and enhancing scientific and cultural exchange between Iraq and the countries of the world," said MOHESR in a statement - received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.


    Aboudi confirmed that "the policy of internationalizing higher education adopted by the ministry has been embodied on the ground for the second year in a row by attracting and accepting more than three thousand international students in Iraqi universities."


    "This initiative provides international students with the opportunity to gain knowledge from the universities of Mesopotamia," added the minister, indicating "the success of Iraqi institutions in linking their academic programs with modern knowledge variables by formulating twinning opportunities with international universities in various programs and specializations."


    For their part, international students studying at Anbar University expressed their “gratitude and thanks to Minister Al-Aboudi, for launching initiatives that contribute to improving the educational environment in Iraq and expanding international education opportunities.”
