    The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah
    announced, today, Friday great facilities for Iraqi pilgrims.

    Maher Salih Jamal, Chairman of the Coordinating Council for Abroad Pilgrims and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Countries Tafweej Company in the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “Saudi Arabia is open to facilitating all procedures for all pilgrims, especially the Iraqis who have been facilitated through the road.” Where the number of passers-by from the Arar port reached 6,000 pilgrims per day.

    He added, "The circumstance of the Corona pandemic has placed many restrictions and obligations and restricted air traffic, which has led to an increase in costs, and things will gradually return to normal in terms of prices of services and transportation.".

    He added, "There is an influx of Muslim pilgrims in the world, and we are concerned about the safety of the pilgrim and his performance of the rituals correctly," explaining that "there are very large facilities for Umrah for Iraqis in terms of insurance and also transport companies.".

    Yesterday, the Saudi Minister of Hajj, Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, announced a reduction in the amount of insurance for Iraqi pilgrims by a rate ranging between 60-70%.

    "The Kingdom is keen to facilitate procedures for Iraqi pilgrims and Umrah performers," Al-Rabeeah said in a press conference in Baghdad with the head of the Hajj Authority, Sami Al-Masoudi, pointing to "providing the electronic" Nusk" platform to facilitate the entry of Iraqi pilgrims to the Kingdom.".

    He added, "125,000 Iraqi pilgrims have been received since the opening of the new port of Arar," noting that "initiatives have been provided to reduce the costs of Hajj and Umrah for Iraqis."
    He stressed, "The amount of insurance for Iraqi pilgrims has been reduced by 63% and pilgrims by 73%."
