Al-Shammari chairs a meeting at the controlling operations headquarters in the Al-Bataween area in Baghdad

    The Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, stressed on Saturday, the necessity of maintaining complete security in the Al-Bataween area and continuing to fight crime in its various forms, stressing the importance of the Al-Bataween region returning to its strategic location and economic status.
     
    A statement by the Ministry of Interior, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that “Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, chaired a meeting at the controlling operations headquarters in the Al-Bataween area in Baghdad, in the presence of deputy ministers, working directors, leaders, and the municipal agent of the Baghdad Municipality.”

    He added, "The meeting dealt with reviewing the results of the security operation initiated by the specialized agencies and departments in the Ministry of Interior last Thursday, and analyzing its data, which came with the aim of enhancing security and stability within this region in conjunction with a municipal campaign to provide services to citizens and remove violations, especially after the streets were opened the region and the return of interests and life to it."
     
    The Minister of Interior stressed "the necessity of maintaining complete security in the Al-Bataween area, continuing to fight crime in its various forms, and preserving the security gains achieved during this security operation."
     
    The statement stressed "the importance of the return of the Al-Bataween area as a facade of the capital, Baghdad, due to its strategic location and economic status, and its containment of many important places, including hotels and others, and the encouragement of commercial movement within this region."
