Prime Minister Mohammad Shia Al-Sudani confirmed today, Wednesday that the process of construction, reconstruction, and project implementation all require security stability.
The Prime Minister's Media Office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani chaired a meeting of security leaders in Anbar Governorate, during his visit to the governorate this morning."
Al-Sudani stressed, according to the statement, that “Anbar Governorate has importance and particularity because it extends over a wide area of Iraqi land, which requires a double effort in order to maintain security there,” noting that “the victories achieved over terrorism would not have been possible without the stance of the people of Anbar who they supported the security forces, worked in all their formations, and made sacrifices for the sake of their governorate and their homeland.”
The Prime Minister stated that “the government launched a broad program with priorities related to reconstruction and services that would improve the service reality for citizens throughout Iraq,” stressing that “the process of construction, reconstruction, and project implementation all require security stability, and this falls on the responsibility of our heroic security forces.”
He directed that "the security man reflect the image of the state in the best possible way, and that he deal with citizens in accordance with the standards of law and human rights without transgression or assault on people's dignity."
