NATO mission: Iraqi air force matches the world's capabilities

The Chief of Staff of the NATO mission in Iraq, Italian General Nicola Piasente, praised today, Wednesday, the capabilities of the Iraqi pilot and the Iraqi Air Force, while indicating the support of the Iraqi Air Force in training pilots in the next stage.
Piasente said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The participation of the Italian Air Force in the exercise with the Iraqi Air Force is the first, as we found a very high level of cooperation between the NATO mission and the Iraqi forces."
Piasente added, "The level of the Iraqi pilot is impressive and very high, especially during the exercise. The pilots demonstrated capabilities that match the capabilities of the world," pointing out, "We support the Iraqi Air Force in training pilots as a matter of support and training in the next stage."
Regarding cooperation by providing Iraq with aircraft and military equipment, Piasente explained, “The current level of cooperation is providing support, and Iraq and Italy are considered security allies.”
