INSS carries out campaigns against price speculators and destroys 94 tons of food

    Iraqi National Security Service (INSS) announced on Tuesday, the implementation of campaigns on commercial markets throughout the governorates to prevent price speculators during the month of Ramadan, while indicating the destruction of 94 tons of food supplies.
     
    “with the advent of the month of Ramadan, and based on the directives of the Prime Minister, the economic security detachments of the agency carried out campaigns to follow up on markets and shops to prevent manipulation of food prices and hold violators accountable through legal procedures,” INSS stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
     
    "The campaign included all governorates of the country, and resulted in the seizure and destruction of about (94) tons of expired food supplies in coordination with health teams," The statement added, "Violators were referred to the competent judicial authorities to take the necessary measures against them."
