The Popular Mobilization Forces announced today, Thursday, the overthrow of a network that included 8 leaders in the banned Baath Party.
A statement by the Authority, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said: “Under the direct supervision of the senior leadership of the Popular Mobilization Authority and in coordination with the Joint Operations Command, a force from the Intelligence and Information Assistant in the Popular Mobilization Authority carried out a qualitative operation in Anbar Governorate, which resulted in the arrest of a network that includes 8 "One of the leaders and active members of the banned Baath Party.".
The statement added, "The operation took place with the support of the Popular Mobilization Forces Operations detachments (East Anbar - West Anbar - Anbar) and the Anbar, Al-Jazeera and Badia Operations Commands in the Iraqi Army.".
The statement indicated, "The raiding force seized from the detainees possession of weapons, computers, means of communication, and documents confirming their connection and activity with the banned organization."
