BFC holds Iraqi security points on the Turkish border

    The Ministry of Interior announced today, Thursday, that Border Guard forces are manning border points on the Iraqi-Turkish border.

    The Ministry of Interior said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “Under the guidance of the Minister of the Interior and the follow-up of the Commander of the Border Forces, to control the entire Iraqi border with neighboring countries, and in the far north of our northern Iraq and in the harshest weather conditions and most difficult terrain, a force from the First Border Brigade under its command was able to Commander of the borders of the first region of the advance towards the zero border point, and holding border points and raising the Iraqi flag on them on the Iraqi-Turkish border strip in the Shildzi district of the Amadiyah district within the Dohuk Governorate, which were not previously held with the support of the Kurdistan Region Guard forces.

    MOI added, "Boxes equipped with modern technologies will be built as part of the Ministry of Interior's efforts, represented by the leadership of the Border Forces, to control the borders effectively, to monitor suspicious cases and confront outlaws."
