(3) Accused of smuggling petroleum products arrested in Salah al-Din and Karbala

The General Directorate of Energy Police announced on Friday, the arrest of three people accused of smuggling petroleum products in the governorates of Salah al-Din and Holy Karbala.
 
 “Detachments of the 2nd and 6th Energy Police Brigades were able to arrest (3) accused of smuggling petroleum products and seize their wheels in the governorates of Salah al-Din and Holy Karbala for several violations,” A statement by the directorate, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated.
 
"The necessary measures have been taken against them based on Law No. 41 of 2008 regarding combating the smuggling of oil and its derivatives,” The statement added.
