Copies of the credentials of three new ambassadors to Iraq were presented to Fuad Hussein, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, on Monday.
"Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein received today copies of the credentials of Philippine Ambassador Charlie P. Manangan, Australian Ambassador Glenn Miles , and French Ambassador Patrick Dorrell, at the ministry building in Baghdad," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
"I hope the new ambassadors succeed in carrying out their new responsibilities and to strengthen the relations of friendship and cooperation between Iraq and their countries," said Hussein.
Underlining "their countries' aspiration to strengthen relations with Iraq in all fields in a way that promotes common interests," the ambassadors on their part conveyed their "thanks and appreciation to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs."
