Al-Khazaali and Rashid stress the importance of unifying the national ranks and enhancing the understanding

Secretary-General of the Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq Movement, Sheikh Qais Khazali, and President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, stressed today, Saturday, the importance of unifying the national ranks and enhancing understanding between the various political forces; to achieve the supreme interests of the country.

The office of the Secretary-General of the Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq Movement said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The Secretary-General of the Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq Movement, Sheikh Qais Khazali, received in his office in Baghdad, the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid," noting that "during the meeting, the challenges facing Iraq at the current stage were discussed, and ways to confront them by strengthening the unity of the national position.".

The two sides stressed during the meeting - according to the statement - "the importance of unifying the national ranks, and enhancing understanding between the various political forces; to achieve the supreme interests of the country.".

The two sides discussed the efforts made to "achieve internal stability, as a fundamental pillar for advancing the country's reality, and meeting the aspirations of the Iraqi people.".

For his part, the President of the Republic called for "adopting a comprehensive national discourse that reflects the spirit of belonging to the homeland and unites ranks in facing common challenges," stressing "the role of political forces in consolidating the concept of national partnership.".

The statement added, "At the end of the meeting, the two parties agreed on the necessity of continuing dialogue and coordination between the various parties to achieve the supreme national interests and overcome the current challenges, in a manner that reflects the aspirations of the Iraqi people for a better future."
