the leader of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, warned today, Saturday, of a plan by the Zionist entity aimed at dividing the region.

Al-Maliki said in a speech during the Najaf Festival to commemorate the leaders of victory - attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The enemy is inciting you and your sons to carry out sabotage acts based on the ability to change the reality of the state we are in, but they are working and will fail miserably, and these countries will continue to work together to protect the region."

He added, "Currently, our mission has become more complicated. Previously, we only wanted to preserve Gaza and southern Lebanon. Today, our duty is to preserve the region, which has been exposed to further transgression and aggression due to the fall of Syria.".

He continued, "This project was written in 1967 and 1982 to divide all the countries surrounding the Zionist entity into small cantons so that no one can challenge the entity and these countries cannot form alliances with each other to confront this constant danger along the line."
He explained, "What happened in Syria may be the introduction to continuing the process of dividing the countries of the region and weakening them into small states that are unable to stand up to Zionism."
