ICTS detains three terrorists

Three terrorists have been detained in three provinces, according to a Thursday statement by the Security Media Cell SMC.

"ICTS's detachments carried out a series of operations that led to the arrest of (3) terrorists in separate locations, in continuing of their efforts to destroy terrorist networks and eradicate the remnants of ISIS terrorist gangs," said a statement from the Cell obtained by Iraqi News Agency INA.

According to information received, one terrorist in Baghdad was arrested by ICTS’s detachments after they conducted an operation that resulted in his detention. The terrorist in question is a money transfer worker who oversees (illegal) transfers utilized by terrorist groups affiliated with Daesh.

The statement clarified that "one of the terrorists was also caught in Nineveh province, who holds the role of Commander of a detachment in Daesh terrorist gangs," and that "the ICTS’s detachments managed to catch one of the terrorists in Anbar province."

"As part of the proactive tasks backed by the Iraqi air force in reconnaissance, surveillance, ambushing and inspection of dens, ICTS’s detachments were able to detonate a number of explosive devices and belts and seize a number of materials and detonators meant for explosion in Nineveh province Makhmour mountain range," the  Cell confirmed in the statement.
