Iraqi parliamentary delegation, headed by Acting Speaker of the Parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, arrived on Sunday morning in the Iranian capital, Tehran, responding to an official invitation for boosting cooperation between both countries.
A statement issued by the media office of the First Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said that "a parliamentary delegation headed by Acting Speaker of the Parliament Mohsen Al-Mandalawi arrived in the Iranian capital, Tehran."
The office added that "this visit is meant to respond to an official invitation submitted by the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, and will last for two days."
The office also indicated that "the delegation will hold a number of meetings with Iranian officials, and will focus during the visit on deepening cooperation to fight the challenges and support joint coordination in areas that serve both Iraqi and Iranian peoples."
