SJC recovers 5 billion dinars of financial fraud

    The Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) announced today, Wednesday, the recovery of 5 billion dinars for the crime of financial fraud.
     
    SJC stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Second Karkh Investigation Court recovered today an amount of 5 billion Iraqi dinars for the crime of financial fraud."
     
    The statement added that "the amount was recovered by one of the violating companies to obtain the difference in the dollar exchange rate after great efforts and under the supervision of the competent judge," indicating that "efforts are continuing to take legal measures that ensure the prevention of this crime and currency speculation to preserve state funds."
