Holy Najaf Hajj Office announced on Tuesday, that Al-Najaf Airport began to dispatch pilgrims to Saudi Arabia, while it indicated that the first flight included 144 pilgrims from Diwaniyah Governorate.
The director of the office, Hamid Hamad Hassan Al-Hakim, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The administration of Al-Najaf Airport and all responsible authorities met, and an operations room was formed regarding dispatching pilgrims from Al-Najaf Airport to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia."
"The flights of dispatching pilgrims will continue for about two weeks," he added.
