Al-Sahaf announces starting the evacuation of the Iraqi community from Port Sudan

Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahaf announced Thursday, the start of the process of evacuating the Iraqi community from Port Sudan airport.

Al-Sahaf told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the process of evacuating the Iraqi community from Port Sudan airport has been started."

“We took with us numbers of Arab communities and provided them with medical and humanitarian relief,” he added.

The Foreign Ministry announced on Thursday the arrival of the two aircraft dedicated to the evacuation of the Iraqi community from Sudan in Port Sudan.

“The two aircrafts designated for the evacuation of the Iraqi community from Sudan have arrived in Port Sudan,” ministry spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahaf said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

Prime Minister Mohamed Shia Al-Sudani directed, on Tuesday, to send two planes to transport Iraqi citizens stranded in the Republic of Sudan, due to the fatal events there.
