The office of the supreme authority, Sayyid Ali Al-Sistani, announced on Wednesday, that the sighting of the blessed month crescent has been confirmed. By that, tomorrow will be the first day of Ramadan.
"It has been confirmed that the crescent of the blessed month of Ramadan has been sighted with bare eyes after sunset on Wednesday, Sha'ban 29th, in several places in Iraq and some of its neighboring regions," said the office in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
The statement included that, "this means that tomorrow's Thursday, will be the first day of the holy month. We ask God Almighty to grant everyone success in it for the benefit of deeds."
