Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Oil Hayan Abdul-Ghani confirmed today, Friday, that the government of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani is seeking to achieve balanced cooperation relations with everyone.
Abdul-Ghani said, while accompanying the Prime Minister, to attend the Arab-Chinese Summit for Cooperation and Development in Riyadh, according to a statement of his media office received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Sudani's government seeks to achieve balanced cooperation relations with everyone, in a way that serves common interests.".
The minister added, "Iraq is open in its relations to everyone and has distinguished relations and cooperation with Arab countries, neighboring countries, the United States, China, India, Japan, Asian countries, Africa, Europe and other friendly countries, and seeks to strengthen and expand cooperation horizons in a way that contributes to supporting the national economy and developing the oil sector."
He pointed out that "China is an economic power to be reckoned with, and it is one of the largest oil consuming countries, and it is among the most prominent importers of Iraqi oil, and we sensed a great desire on the Chinese side to expand the horizons of cooperation in all fields, including the oil and energy sector and other economic axes," referring to The Asian market is promising and is witnessing growth despite health and security challenges and political tensions facing the global economy.
He continued, "We are working within the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and the OPEC Plus alliance to achieve stability in the global oil markets, achieve a balance between supply and demand, and reach satisfactory prices for the producer and consumer."
