Al-Sudani, Abd Allahian confirm Iraq's pivotal role in the region

Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani and Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abd Allahian confirmed Iraq's pivotal role in the region.

The media office of the Prime Minister said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani received this morning, Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abd Allahian, at al-Sudani's residence in the Iranian capital, Tehran, who arrived yesterday for a an official visit.

It also stated that "during the meeting, they discussed the overall bilateral relations between the two countries and their development, as well as affirming Iraq's pivotal role in the region, and its efforts to strengthen security and consolidate stability in it."

The statement added, "The meeting also witnessed discussions on ways to enhance economic and trade relations, within the framework of constructive cooperation and partnership between the two neighboring countries."
