Russian President, Vladimir Putin, confirmed to his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in a phone call the necessity of stopping the aggression of terrorist groups against the Syrian state.
A statement by the Kremlin said that Putin stressed during his phone conversation with Erdogan "the necessity of urgently eliminating the terrorist aggression that the Syrian state is exposed to."
Putin and Erdogan pointed to "the importance of close coordination between Russia, Turkey and Iran to normalize the situation in Syria," stressing that "they will continue their contacts in the framework of searching for steps to reduce the escalation."
