Al-Sudani: Iraq is able to play a pivotal role in the region to bridge points of view

Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani confirmed today, Tuesday that Iraq is able to play a pivotal role in the region to bring points of view closer.
The media office of the Prime Minister said, in a statement that "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani met this evening, Tuesday, the First Vice President of Iran, Muhammad Mokhber," noting that "the meeting witnessed discussion of issues and files of interest, and ways to develop bilateral cooperation in various fields.   
The Prime Minister stressed, according to the statement, "the importance of strengthening joint bilateral action at various levels," expressing "confidence in Iraq's ability to play a pivotal role in the region to bring points of view closer, in order to consolidate security and stability in the region." 
Mokhber, for his part, offered his blessing for the formation of the new government, and his wishes for more prosperity for the Iraqi people, stressing "the Islamic Republic's support for Iraq's security, and its importance for Iran, and he renewed, "Iran's endeavor to expand trade and economic exchange with Iraq, for the benefit of the two friendly peoples."
