The head of the Popular Mobilization Units Authority - PMU, Falih Al-Fayadh, offered his condolences on Saturday for the martyrdom of the Secretary-General of the Islamic Resistance, Hezbollah, in Lebanon, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.

"We received with broken and proud hearts the news of the martyrdom of the great leader, the master of the resistance, His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and a constellation of bright moons from the leaders of dignity and pride in a treacherous Zionist raid and a hideous massacre in the steadfast and proud suburb of Beirut," said Al-Fayadh in a statement - received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

He added, "Our great martyr was a beacon, a source of pride, and a refuge for all the brave and free resistance fighters. No arena was without him and no battle was missing him. He did not give up on a principle, nor did he compromise on a cause. From proud Palestine, where he was the head and leader, to resistant Lebanon, where he was the father and protector, to patient Yemen, where he was the support and voice, to Iraq, which was wanted to be violated, where he was the initiator and the sacrificer."

"Oh, great martyr, while you are in your high place now with Al-Hussein and the martyrs who preceded you, you were a terrifying nightmare for the treacherous Zionists in your life, and you will remain their nightmare after your ascension and martyrdom," he expressed.

He noted, "While we offer our condolences to the family of the great Islamic symbol, the martyr Nasrallah, and the mujahideen in the Hezbollah and the Islamic nation, and the honorable people in the world for this great loss, we are very confident that the resistance fighters who were taught by principles and watered with courage and pride during this march crowned with wounds and heroism will not hesitate or go slow to complete the path and will never turn back until they achieve victory and pray in Al-Quds soon, God willing."

"They see it far away and we see it near, and praise be to God, the supporter of the believers," he concluded.
