Fist flight from Kirkuk Airport to Madinah takes off

    INA-  BAGHDAD

    The Supreme Commission for Hajj and Umrah announced Thursday the launch of the first abroad flight from Kirkuk International Airport to Medina, carrying 140 pilgrims.

     A statement by the Commission , received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "about 140 pilgrims will be dispatched today to Prince Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Airport in Medina through Kirkuk Airport, which was recently opened."

     The Commission confirmed that "entering Kirkuk International Airport for service will contribute to facilitating the process of grouping pilgrims to Mecca and will ease the burden of the people of the province and the neighboring provinces."
