Hajj and Umrah Commission resumes Umrah trips

    The High Commission for Hajj and Umrah resumed Umrah trips through its approved companies, after a two-year hiatus due to the outbreak of the Corona pandemic.
     
     
    A statement by the Commission, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated today, Monday, that the first flights for the current Umrah season (1443) Hijri, departed from Baghdad International Airport via Iraqi Airways planes, heading to Madinah Airport, carrying about 150 pilgrims.
     
    The Commission stressed that "there are daily flights that will be launched, after the travelers are subjected to health procedures and preventive measures related to the Corona pandemic, according to the approved controls and conditions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
     
    According to the statement, The High Commission for Hajj and Umrah expressed its readiness to send as many pilgrims as possible to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, after it had developed an integrated plan for the success of the current Umrah season.
