Reopening roads as the protestors withdraw

    A senior security source announced on Saturday, that all the protestors withdrew from Tahrir Square, Baghdad as it is considered as the end of the protests.
     
    The source told the Iraqi News Agency – INA that "the protests in the capital, Baghdad ended after all the protestors withdrew from Tahrir and Al-Nusour Squares," noting that the security forces began reopening roads.
     
    He added, "The Republic Bridge will remain closed to pedestrians until further notice as it is being repaired due to extensive damage it encountered.”
     
    It is noteworthy that the capital witnessed, during the past hours, protests to commemorate the third anniversary of the October protests.
