PM calls on protesters for an Immediate withdrawal from Green Zone

INA – BAGHDAD

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Mustafa Al-Kadhimi called on Wednesday, on the demonstrators to immediately withdraw from the Green Zone.

"PM Al-Kadhimi called on the demonstrators, to abide by their peacefulness, to preserve public and private property, and by the instructions of the security forces responsible for protecting them in accordance with the regulations and laws, as to immediately withdraw from the Green Zone," said Al-Kadhimi's media office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency – INA.

He added that "the security forces will be committed to protecting state institutions and international missions, as well as preventing any disruption to security and order."
