The Security Media Cell (SMC) announced on Tuesday, that the Iraqi Air Force targeted terrorist hideouts in Hamrin Mountains.
“According to an accurate information from the Iraqi National Intelligence Service in coordination with the targeting cell of the Joint Operations Command, the Iraqi Air Force, through Iraqi F-16 aircraft, carried out two air strikes, targeting a hideout for terrorists and two caves in Hamrin mountains, " SMC said in a statement , received by The Iraqi News Agency(INA).
A force from Kirkuk Counter- Terrorism Regiment went out to search the targeted area, the statement added.
SMC also stressed that "The security forces are continuing their qualitative and preemptive operations in various regions of the country to completely eliminate the terrorists who have no place on Iraqi soil."
