Security operation launched in Qara Tabeh Diyala

Popular Mobilization Authority announced Thursday the launch of a security operation in the city of Qara Tabbah, Diyala Governorate.

A statement by PMF received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the units of the 24th Brigade in the Popular Mobilization began today a wide inspection operation from two axes to secure the Jubbah Dagh mountain, located within the area between Al-Naqshabandiyah and the intersection of Al-Khadran in Qara Tabbah in Diyala Governorate."

The statement added that "the operation came to strengthen and secure the ultimate responsibility in order to preserve the security of citizens from the infiltration and attacks of the criminal ISIS elements."
