Security Media Cell – SMC announced on Wednesday, the arrest of 5 terrorists and seizing Daesh hideout in Kirkuk and Baghdad.
"Separate operations are added to the preemptive operations carried out by the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency in the Ministry of Interior to follow up on Daesh terrorist gangs, and the first operation carried out in Kirkuk governorate resulted in the arrest of five terrorists that are wanted in accordance with the provisions of Article (4-terrorism) for belonging to Daesh gangs, as they were handed over to the concerned authorities according to a fundamental receipt, said SMC in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency – INA.
The statement included that, “A hideout of Daesh gangs was seized in the second operation carried out in Tarmiyah district within Baghdad governorate, in which an explosive vest, a homemade device bombs, a rifle and blankets were seized,”
“The third operation carried out in the district of Aqarquf, in which a stockpile of equipment left behind by Daesh was also seized, which contained three homemade bombs hidden underground,” according to the statement.
