Al-Kadhimi: Halabja deserves to be converted into a province

Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi said Wednesday that Halabja deserves to be transformed into a province.
 
"Halabja is a victim of tyranny which was confronted by our people's struggle for the values of justice and a symbol of Iraqis' brotherhood, unity and hope for a democratic Iraq that takes into account the will and interests of the people and preserves their dignity and rights," al-Kadhimi said in a tweet followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
 
"Halabja deserves to be transformed into a province in honor of its sacrifices and we will make efforts to achieve this," he said.
