The autumn and pomegranate festival in Halabja concludes its three-day work on Saturday, showcasing the pomegranates produced by halabja orchards and farms, which are famous for their work."The festival was attended by 100 farmers to showcase their pomegranate products with the participation of fruit marketers and a number of civil society organizations," said a reporter for the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
"Twenty-six types of pomegranates, which Halabja is famous for, the most famous of which are sazan, Baoah and Kojak, have been displayed, as the Ministry of Agriculture in the province is keen to establish the festival annually and thousands of citizens from various Iraqi provinces are coming to the exhibition," he said.
"The area has been transformed into a tourist destination for visitors from everywhere, an opportunity to market pomegranates with other agricultural products in the region inside and outside Iraq," he said.
