Ancelotti: Two steps ahead for Vini to win the Ballon d'Or

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti nominated his player Vinicius Junior to win the Ballon d'Or for the best player in the world this year.

Ancelotti said, "The Golden Ball will not be awarded now, and I believe that Vinicius is in a good position and all that remains for him is the Champions League final and the Copa America competitions.".

He pointed out, "It is very close, and if he finishes the season with the Champions League title and then the Copa America, he will be able to win the Ballon d'Or.".

He continued, "Vinicius has an amazing talent, and he succeeded in developing it through excellence in finishing attacks and efficiency in scoring goals thanks to hard daily work.".

He noted, "Vinicius is a professional and deserves what he has achieved. Brazil is lucky to have him and Rodrigo. Samba's problem remains in other positions, not the offensive line.".

He added, "Vinicius is among the best players in the world, and this is his moment. He helped us a lot in reaching the Champions League final and winning La Liga, but I do not want to forget what others did."
Ancelotti concluded, "I say that because this is the Real Madrid moment, at least until June 1. We may find the Dortmund moment."
