Representative of the New Generation Movement, Omid Ahmed, stressed today, Sunday, the importance of tomorrow's session of the House of Representatives to nominate parliamentary committees, and while he ruled out naming its presidencies before forming the government, he indicated that there is a political consensus not to go for quotas in naming the new ministerial cabinet.
"tomorrow's session will be important because it inaugurates an important priority in the work of the Legislative and oversight Council of Representatives through the formation of parliamentary committees." Omid said.
He added that "the formation of committees can take place before the formation of the new government, but we rule out naming their presidencies before naming the ministerial cabinet, given that the committee chairs are subject to electoral merit and the formation of the government as well."
With regard to the ongoing dialogues to form the government, he indicated that "there is a political consensus that it is necessary not to go to the logic of quotas in naming the cabinet."
