PMF: Security operation launched in Tarmiyah

Popular Mobilization Forces announced Sunday the start of an inspection operation in the Tarmiyah district in Baghdad.

 A statement by PMF , received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the 12th Brigade in the Popular Mobilization has begun an inspection operation in the Tarmiyah district, north of Baghdad."

 The statement explained that "the operation was launched based on intelligence information and accurate follow-up to pursue ISIS remnants and security checks of suspected persons in the district ," noting that "it included the search of several targets in the district.”

 It added, "The operation was preceded by a wide deployment of the brigade's forces to maintain the security of citizens and security stability within areas north of Baghdad."
