Karbala: Additional military assets in the Western Desert

    Karbala Operations Commander, Lieutenant-General Ali Al-Hashimi announced on Saturday, upon additional military assets to support the force in the Western Desert.

    "Lieutenant-General Al-Hashimi, confirms from one of the military sites in the Western Desert that the areas of Najaf and Karbala are fully secured and controlled by the army as well as border forces," according to a statement by the media office of Karbala governor, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

    Al-Hashimi included, "Additional military forces have arrived to support the forces on the ground,"
