MOFA: 418 were evacuated from Minsk airport to KRG

Ministry of Foreign Affairs - MOFA spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahaf announced on Saturday, the evacuation of 418 passengers from Minsk airport to the Kurdistan region - KRG.

"The exceptional evacuation flight for those wishing to return voluntarily, is now heading from Minsk Airport to Iraqi Kurdistan Region, with 418 passengers on board,” said Al-Sahaf in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

Earlier, MOFA announced upon a flight to evacuate 430 stranded people at the Belarusian border.

"120 passports have been granted so far to those who wish to return voluntarily from immigrants,” according to a statement by MOFA, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
