Ministry of Foreign Affairs – MOFA announced the return of Iraqis from Minsk.
"Fly Baghdad will carry out today’s Monday, a flight from Minsk to Baghdad, with more than 80 passengers," said the Ministry spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahaf in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
Al-Sahaf noted, "The airline will carry out an evacuation flight tomorrow, as there will be 200 people on board, according to those registered so far,”
“The body of the deceased Iraqi, Jaafar Al-Hares, who died on the Belarusian-Lithuanian border, will be transported," he explained, noting that "the delegation of the Iraqi embassy in Moscow, which is in the Belarusian capital, Minsk, has prepared the necessary procedures to complete the transfer of the stranded in Minsk,"
He continued, "There is complete communication with the Belarusian authorities to know all developments in the border areas and to coordinate the evacuation of those wishing to return,"
"Our diplomatic team residing in Minsk continues to grant transit passports to those who have lost their passport and wish to return home," he added.
