A new statement by Al-Kadhimi’s advisor regarding the participation rate in October elections

     Adviser to the Prime Minister for Elections Affairs, Hussain Al-Hindawi, expected a high turnout in the upcoming elections, while noting that the call of the Supreme Religious Authority to participate in the elections confirms the importance of protecting the democratic system.
     
    "Our expectations indicate a high rate of participation in the upcoming elections," noting that "IHEC is keen to take all the essential measures to ensure that all voters are able to participate extensively in the electoral process," Al-Hindawi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
     
    Al-Hindawi also lauded "The statement of the Supreme Religious Authority calling and encouraging eligible voters to vote for a responsible participation in the elections of the tenth of next month," noting that "this call confirms the exceptional importance of these elections in protecting the democratic system and the right of Iraqis to parliamentary representation that truly expresses their aspirations for a decent life and protects the country's supreme national interests".
     
    Al-Hindawi praised the call of the Supreme Religious Authority to Iraqi voters to respect the value and important role of their votes," as well as their assertion "that they do not support any candidate or electoral list at all, and that voters must elect only the honest, good candidate who is keen on Iraq's sovereignty, security and prosperity."
     
    He added, “The Supreme Religious Authority stressed the need to ensure that the elections are held in a safe environment, far from the side effects of money, illegal weapons, or foreign interference."
     
    On September 26, the Prime Minister's Advisor for Elections Affairs, Hussain Al-Hindawi, expected that the voter turnout in the upcoming elections would be good.
