Plasschaert: UN mission keeps pace all the preparations for the polling day

The Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, Jalil Adnan Khalaf, and the head of the United Nations Mission in Iraq, Jeanine Plasschaert, discussed the preparations for the polling day.
 
"The Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, Judge Jalil Adnan Khalir, received at IHEC headquarters in Baghdad ,the Head of the United Nations Mission in Iraq, Jenin Plasskhart, to review the final preparations for the elections of the  10^th of  October 2021,"according to the statement of IHEC, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
 
The statement  added, " The Chairman of BoC began the meeting by providing a full briefing on the overall steps and the latest preparations to hold the elections, reviewing the efforts made by the cadres of the IHEC over the past months."
 
For her part, Plasschaert stressed the continuous support of these preparations by the United Nations Mission and its unlimited cooperation with the current Board of Commissioners in order to achieve fair elections that enjoy the trust of the Iraqi people.
 
At the end of the meeting, the Head of the United Nations Mission thanked all the members of the Board of Commissioners for their work and for their constant follow-up to develop and move the electoral process forward.
