Al-Halbousi stresses the Importance of Communication, Dialogue and Activation of Friendship Committees with the UAE

  Parliament Speaker Mohammad Al-Halbousi stressed the importance of communication, dialogue at the level of parliaments, and the activation of friendship committees with the United Arab Emirates.

The media office of the Parliament Speaker stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Al-Halbousi met today, accompanied by a parliamentary delegation, the President of the UAE Federal National Council Saqr Ghabash in Abu Dhabi, and the meeting discussed strengthening parliamentary and bilateral relations between Iraq and the United Arab Emirates, and cooperation in all areas.

Al-Halbousi stressed, according to the statement, "the importance of communication and dialogue at the level of parliaments, the activation of friendship committees, and the role of parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening brotherly ties between the two brotherly countries and peoples."

For his part, Ghabash affirmed his country's "striving to develop its relations with Iraq and support and strengthening partnership, economic cooperation, and everything that contributes to achieving security and stability in Iraq.
