The President of the Republic, Dr. Barham Salih, returned to the homeland today, Saturday, after concluding his visit to New York, to participate in the work of the United Nations General Assembly in its 76th session.
A statement by the Media Office of the Presidency of the Republic, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "President of the Republic, Dr. Barham Salih, returned to the homeland after concluding his visit to New York, to participate in the work of the United Nations General Assembly at its 76th session."
He added that "President Salih delivered Iraq's speech, which included the latest developments in the country, regional and international developments, and addressed issues of combating terrorism and corruption and the importance of the upcoming elections and ensuring their integrity."
The statement continued, "The President of the Republic also held a series of meetings and talks with a number of leaders and representatives of world countries on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meetings."
