Al-Kadhimi envoy discusses the water file with Turkey

    INA - BAGHDAD 

    Prime Minister Envoy for Water Affairs and the Minister of Water Resources Mahdi Rashid Al-Hamdani discussed on Saturday, with Faysal Aroglu, the special envoy of the Turkish President, the file of joint cooperation on water.

    Aroglu, the special envoy of the Turkish President, received in Afyon Qarah Hessar province in Turkey, the Prime Minister's Special Envoy for Water Affairs, Al-Hamdani, Iraq Minister of Water Resources, and his accompanying delegation, to start bilateral meetings and discussions regarding the file of joint cooperation on water between the two countries, according to a statement by the Ministry of Water Resources, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA). 

    Special Turkish envoy welcomed the minister, expressing “his happiness at the meeting and Turkey's readiness to cooperate with Iraq in the field of water quotas, overcoming all obstacles and moving forward to work on implementing the files of joint cooperation between the two countries,”

    For his part, Al-Hamdani stressed, that his meeting with Aroglu, who is “considered one of the most important experts in the field of water, is a positive and important step in the framework of strengthening bilateral relations and implementing practical steps for the files that will be discussed during the meetings,”
