The Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, directed to declare mourning for tomorrow, Saturday, with the death of the religious authority, Muhammad Saeed Al-Hakim.
The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers stated in a brief statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), today, Friday, that "Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi directed an official declaration of mourning for tomorrow, Saturday, to mourn the death of the religious authority, Grand Ayatollah, Muhammad Saeed Al-Hakim.
Earlier today, Friday, the religious authority, Sayyid Muhammad Saeed Al-Hakim, died of sudden cardiac arrest at the age of 87.
Muhammad Saeed bin Muhammad Ali bin Ahmed bin Mohsen al-Tabatabai al-Hakim, born (1354 AH - 1934 AD in the city of Najaf), is considered a contemporary Shiite authority, and one of the leading religious authorities in Najaf.
