Dutchman Dirk Nicolaas Advocaat was named as the technical director to lead our national team in the next stage of the World Cup qualifiers in Qatar.
"The Iraqi negotiating delegation headed by the Minister of Youth and Sports Adnan Darjal and the head of the normalization body, Iyad Bunyan, succeeded in persuading the former Netherlands coach, Dirk Advocaat, to train the national team in the qualifying qualifiers for the World Cup in Qatar,'' according to an official source told the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
The official announcement regarding the signing of the contract with the Dutch coach will be made on Saturday's evening.
