Czech Miroslav Sokop as coach of our Olympic team

The Football Association announced the selection of Czech Miroslav Sokop as coach of our Olympic team, which is preparing for the Asian qualifiers next October, qualifying for the Asian U-23 finals, which will be held in Uzbekistan in 2022. 

A statement of the normalization body, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the head of the normalization body, Iyad Bunyan, met with the Czech coach at the headquarters of the Federation to talk, before a meeting was held with the Minister of Youth and Sports Adnan Darjal in the minister's office, to talk with the coach regarding The vision for the Olympic team in the coming period. 

He added, "In the coming days, the official contract will be signed with Czech coach Miroslav Sokop and the assistant coaching angel, with whom there will be assistant local coaches."

It is noteworthy that the coach has previously worked with the Egyptian under-20 teams, the Yemen national team, and the Bahrain national team.
