The Japanese company "Sionogi & Co" has started experimenting with a drug on humans to cure the Corona virus.
The "Wall Street Journal" quoted the company's CEO, Isao Techirogi, as saying that "the pills (the drug) that should be taken once a day, theoretically, should eliminate the virus within 5 days."
He added, "The drug blocks the activity of protease, an enzyme through which the virus copies itself inside human cells."
"His company plans to attract between 50 and 100 people in Japan to participate in its experience," Techirogi said.
It is expected that the company will start later this year the phase of the new experiment, which is likely to continue until before the beginning of next year.
